Civil Engineering Project Engineer
We currently have a job opening for a dynamic, energetic individual with civil engineering experience to join our multidisciplinary team to prepare site and subdivision plans in accordance with Northern Virginia codes and regulations. You must have good oral and written communication skills, work well in a team setting as well as individually, be able to coordinate with others to meet deadlines, be self-motivated and have a “can do” attitude. The successful candidate is expected to prepare plans in compliance with local regulations and codes, conduct site visits, and to demonstrate the ability to present technical information in understandable and professional written, verbal and graphic form.
You will be considered for this position by demonstrating these minimum qualifications:
- Applicable degree or equivalent experience
- 0 to 4 years’ relevant experience
- Desire to pursue PE license
- Experience in the Northern Virginia region is ideal
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office software
- Proficiency with storm water management, grading, erosion-siltation, earthwork
- Accurate site and subdivision layout in accordance with local codes

Land Survey Project Manager
We are looking for an individual familiar with land surveying aspects related to land development engineering. This includes processing field notes, control analysis and adjustment, deed research, utility coordination, boundary determination, compiling topography, ALTA surveys, as-built surveys, record and easement plat preparation, helping to direct activities of survey crews, preparing stakeout data and construction cut sheets.
Salary is based on a number of factors, including:
- Level of education and continuing education efforts.
- Number of years in the professional.
- Virginia or other state licensing status (land surveyor, LSIT, etc.)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office software.
- Familiarity with field survey procedures and equipment including total stations, static and RTK use of GPS, and data collectors.
- Ability to communicate with staff and clients in written form and verbally.
- Drive to quickly learn and adapt to procedures and methods used by the firm.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize along with good time management skills.

Survey Field Personnel
We are looking for motivated individuals to work as a member of a survey crew. You should have a minumum of 2 experience working with robotic survey instruments, data collectors, and GPS equipment, performing boundary, topographic and construction stakeout surveys. Other qualifications include a clean driving record, a positive attitude, ability to work with and take direction from others, and a willingness to quickly learn and adapt to our field procedures and coding system.
